InfoDarryl W. Perry was born and raised in Birmingham, AL and the surrounding area; graduating from Hewitt-Trussville High School in 1996. Darryl attended Jefferson State Community College on a Scholarship with the Speech Team (Forensics Team), and later on a Management Scholarship with WJSR-FM, the college radio station, of which Darryl was Station Manager from Summer of 1997 until he graduated in 1998.

In 1999, Darryl moved to the small town of Stahlstown, PA (Donegal Township) where he lived with his now-exwife. In 2003, after meeting residency requirements, Darryl sought political office for the first time, running in a two-way race for Township Supervisor, spending only $30; Darryl recieved 11.2% of the vote against incumbent Floyd G. Snyder.

In 2004, Darryl sought a much larger office, running as the Libertarian Party candidate for Pennsylvania State Treasurer; and spending no money, recieved 1.12% of the vote in a five-person race, losing to Bob Casey, Jr. (Democrat) who recieved an amazing 3.3 million votes (61.26%)

In 2005, Darryl attempted to run for Latrobe, PA City Council, but had his petition denied by Paula Pedicone, Director of Westmoreland County Pennsylvania Elections Bureau.

In early 2006 Darryl moved back to Birmingham, AL and was a candidate for Mayor of Birmingham in 2007, finishing 8th in a 10 person race. He is considering a run for US House Alabama District 7 in 2008.
