| Info | David Lawrence, 37, was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, in a working class family. His father Jim Lawrence, the SEP candidate for vice president of the United States, worked at the General Motors Delco Moraine plant for 30 years. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a father of three children, David teaches at a public high school in Dayton. He has been engaged in many struggles to defend teachers and the right to public education. He joined the Workers League, the predecessor of the SEP, in 1993.
