| Info | Alexander Watt, Republican, Spokane County, Fifth district, was born in Jefferson County, Ohio, in 1834; and came with his parents to California in 1849; prospected for gold in California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Idaho, and Montana, and settled in Yamhill County, Oregon, where he lived twenty-four years, following farming and building. Mr. Watt moved to Spokane County in 1879, and settled on a farm; he was elected county assessor in 1888; is a hold-over from the first senate.
