| Info | Robert Ruffolo is a distinguished veteran who served in the United States Army for over 29 years. He comes from a proud Italian family and worked his way up the ranks.
An expert on Anti-Terrorism, Robert has achieved the highest appraisal from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency Base Defense Vulnerability Assessment. He created superior security programs that were praised by the European Command Inspector General for being the best of 39 embassy security programs across the European theater.
Robert also directed the U.S. Army Japan through ten Typhoons and three earthquakes, gaining extensive training in disaster preparedness and response. As the architect of the largest supply chain program in the history of the U.S. Army, the Theater Provided Equipment (TPE) program, he saved the US Government forty-eight billion dollars in strategic lift costs over ten years. The TPE program was so valuable that General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made it a fully funded, permanent program of record.
For his last military tour of duty, Robert was selected for diplomatic service to strengthen and revitalize the relationship between the United States and Italy. During his service, he fostered a new international agreement between then-Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, and President Barack Obama, building on the deep bonds of history, friendship, and family between the two countries.
An accomplished entrepreneur, Robert established his first company at the age of thirty-two, which earned a 23-million-dollar profit in his first year. He later founded the Global Initiatives Consulting Group (GICG) based in Virginia after retiring from his U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Rome, Italy.
Robert has earned several achievements throughout his career, including the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, two Bronze Star Medals, and Master Parachutist. He has been knighted eight times for his international service. Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Modern European History, a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago, and a Master of Policy Leadership from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Robert is the proud father of four grown children.
