Info | Katherine Bryson is a farmer, entrepreneur, substitute teacher, student and a fierce advocate for her community. She grew up in the Annapolis Valley, N.S. and moved to PEI in 2012 after graduating university.
Katherine worked as a registered veterinary technician at Brudenell Animal Hospital, New Perth Animal Hospital and the Atlantic Veterinary College (UPEI). In 2019, she opened Bryson Family Bakery and sold baked goods at the Downtown Charlottetown Farmer’s Market as well as to the community and wholesale to local businesses. In 2015, she founded the Bryson Family Farm, where she raises commercial and registered purebred polled Dorsets, and sells pasture-raised chickens.
Last fall, Katherine began substitute teaching on a casual basis and last December, she began her first term as councillor for the Rural Municipality of Belfast, where she also serves on the community grants committee.
She has volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society’s Bark for Life fundraising campaign, the Eastern Region 4H, the Eastern Veterinary Technician Association, and the Registered Veterinary Technologist & Technician Association of Canada board of directors.
Katherine lives with her husband and two children in Belfast.
