"I am a graduate of LSU's School of Industrial Technology, and a cum laude law school graduate with a master's degree in maritime and admiralty law from Tulane. With Eric Skrmetta as chief operating officer, his family's century old seafood processing company entered world markets with sales on almost every continent. A success in his own law practice, he has managed over 15,000 cases. Recruited by the Louisiana Department of Insurance after Hurricane Katrina, Eric has presided over more than 700 mediations between homeowners and their wind insurance carriers, settling almost 90% of those disputes.
