| Info | Clyde was born to Clyde S. and Margaret (Schwartz) Cleveland and raised in Hammond, Indiana. Clyde's Grandfather (also Clyde) was the oldest brother of four children. He left the family farm in Sullivan, Indiana to work, attend school, and help his younger brothers go to college before settling in Hammond. He graduated from Indiana University Law School and eventually became a Lake County Superior Court Judge.
Clyde and his wife Debby have been married for over 31 years. They have four children and have lived in Fairfield, Iowa since 1981. Clyde's midwestern ethic was instilled in him during his childhood in Indiana. His father (Clyde) was a WWII Spitfire pilot and his grandfather (Clyde), started on the family farm in Sullivan, Indiana and eventually became a Lake County, Indiana Superior Court Judge. Clyde has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Indiana State University.
Clyde is a successful entrepreneur with a passion for saving the environment and securing individual freedom.
He was the co-founder of the Fairfield, Iowa constitutional study group, a successful program dedicated to educating the community on the founding principles of our country. He has been active in the movement to eliminate the federal income tax for over 10 years.
He has been the founder or co-founder of seven successful companies. Among them, Founder, President, and Chairman of the Board of United Investment Groups Inc. (UIG). In conjunction with UIG, Clyde was the General Partner of twenty-three limited partnerships, including real estate, research and development (R&D), and wind energy syndications. The common theme of each R&D partnership was a focus on environmentally friendly, socially conscious products. In 1986, Clyde was named the "First Socially Conscious Venture Capitalist" by Conscious Investors, ltd. at their international symposium on Conscious Investing in Estes Park, Colorado.
