David Lemoine is Maine’s 48th State Treasurer. He was sworn in on January 7, 2005, after completing three consecutive terms in the Maine House of Representatives. He is a resident of Saco, Maine and is married to Karen Kane Lemoine. They have three children, Joseph, John and Mary. Treasurer Lemoine is a 1988 graduate of the Maine School of Law, a 1979 graduate of Colby College and a 1975 graduate of Waterville High School in Waterville, Maine. His public service has included work in the Washington, D.C. offices of former U.S. Senators George Mitchell and Ed Muskie. He was a private practice attorney in York County, Maine from 1988 until taking office as State Treasurer in January, 2005.
