InfoMy name is Chris Russomanno and I am running for Congress in New Jersey’s Third Congressional District.

I was born in Trenton New Jersey and lived there until I moved to San Fernando Valley California at the age of seventeen. While there, I joined the United States Marine Corps and completed recruit training at the recruit depot in San Diego.

From there I served in Okinawa Japan and Quantico Virginia. I became a Marine Security Guard and guarded the American Consulate in Saint Petersburg Russia and the Embassy in Buenos Aires Argentina.

In May of 1995, when my service ended, I came back to live in New Jersey. I earned an associates degree at Mercer County Community College in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in law and Justice from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).

I became a police officer for the City of Trenton and went to the police academy in April of 1999. In December 2005 I left Trenton and worked as a Police Officer for TCNJ. In 2014 I transferred to Ewing Township Police Department where I am currently employed.

I am happily married to my lovely wife Trish. We have our dog Stella and our cat Jackson. Both of our pets are rescues.

Trish and I married in 2006 and moved to Bordentown Township where we currently reside.

I am running for Congress because I used to love living here. Jersey is a beautiful state from the beaches of Cape May in the south to the Delaware Water Gap in the north. We have everything from beaches to mountains in the state. We are in a great location and are close to major centers of culture and commerce. Places like New York, Philadelphia or Washington DC.

Here’s the problem though. It’s getting increasingly expensive to live here and I don’t know if I will be able to retire here. I have friends and family who have either left the state or are planning to do so.

This has got to stop.

Please join me in taking back our state from the politicians that got us here.

Chris Russomanno
