| Info | America was prospering before COVID came to our shores, and Marks knows we must return to the economic freedom that made our country great. When he was eight years old, his family immigrated to the U.S. He learned the value of hard work from his parents when he saw his dad leave for work every morning at 4:30 a.m. in the family’s used Honda Civic while his mom started a business from their kitchen table. Marks and his family were on the path towards living the American Dream, and his parents knew that if they worked hard, they would succeed.
Marks took those lessons and earned a double B.A. and M.A. at Johns Hopkins in addition to an M.F.A. at New York University. Working as a writer, Marks shined a light on the absurdities of big government and the looming danger of big tech. His works appeared in The Wall Street Journal and publications nationwide.
When diagnosed with a rare thoracic condition, Marks battled through nerve degeneration and crippling pain, undergoing nearly a dozen major operations over the course of two years. With the tools he learned during his recovery, he started a business to help others with their physical wellness. Doing everything from mopping floors to making payroll, Marks learned firsthand what it’s like to build a small business from the ground up.
Following years of weak foreign policy, President Trump asked Martin’s mother, Lana Marks, to help restore America’s status as a leader on the world stage as Ambassador to South Africa. Martin joined her in South Africa to support the objectives of Trump’s foreign policy.
After returning home, Marks believes that our nation is at a crossroads, and he knows that his service isn’t done. Too many politicians don’t get it. Marks does. He believes that Americans deserve a leader who will stand up and work hard – that’s why he’s running for the U.S. House of Representatives.
A South Floridian for almost 30 years, Martin moved back to the area in 2015, and now lives in Lake Worth Beach.
