Info | Keith Richman, M.D., selected as Rookie of the Year by the California Journal for his tireless work in the Assembly, is aptly described as an "open-minded independent problem solver."
Called a "pioneer in the field of health care management," Dr. Richman has previously held the position of Chairman of the Board of Lakeside Healthcare. In his work as a Legislator, he utilizes his medical education as a member of both the Health Committee and the Insurance Committee. He also sits on the Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media Committee. In addition, he is Vice-Chairman of the Utilities and Commerce Committee and serves as the Assistant Assembly Republican Leader.
Assemblyman Richman earned his Baccalaureate degree from U.C. Davis and subsequently attended medical school at U.C.L.A. In addition to his Medical Doctorate, he holds a Master of Public Health. He is the Founding President of the American Diabetes Association and is involved in numerous charitable and volunteer endeavors. He and his wife have two daughters.
