Minister of Economic Development;
Minister of Energy;
Minister responsible for Nova Scotia Business Incorporated Act;
Minister of the Innovation Corporation Act;
Minister responsible for the N.S. Film Development Corporation;
Minister responsible for the Waterfront Development Corporation; and
Minister responsible for the World Trade and Convention Centre.

Community involvement:
Board of Directors of the Cape Breton YMCA; chair of the YMCA children's camp Barrachois; supporter of community development initiatives; active member of the United Church; board member of the Mount Allison Federated Alumnae.

Family:
Son of Margaret (Bragg) Clarke and Edgar Clarke of Sydney Mines. Sisters Brenda and Florence, brothers Robert and Rannie.
