| Info | Originally a member of the JSP, Ikko was on the right wing of the party and in 1960, joined Nishio in the breakaway DSP. Ikko was first elected as the member of the House of Representatives for Aichi 1st District in 1952, and he maintained his seat there in the Diet until his death in 1989 due to pneumonia.
