I am proud to say that I have lived in the Town of Cheektowaga and have been a part of this community my entire life. I attended the Maryvale Schools and played football, basketball and baseball in my junior and senior years of high school. The Class of 1978 baseball team which I’m proud to say I was a part of, is enshrined on the “Maryvale Wall of Fame.” I have also enjoyed participating in community baseball leagues throughout the years as well. Also, for eleven years, I was a volunteer fireman for the Doyle 2 and Bellevue fire companies.
My wife, Chris, and I were married in October 1987 and have a son, Colin, who is a student at Nichols School. Like me, Colin is also actively involved in community sports leagues. In 2005, Chris and I ventured into the restaurant business and are the owners and operators of Nickel Creek Café.
I was hired as a laborer for the Town of Cheektowaga in June 1984 and have had the opportunity to work in other job titles and departments over the years. Each position provided me with new opportunities to learn the operations of the various departments. Working in these positions allowed me practice effective methods of providing service to the public, while learning and developing the working relationships needed between the Town departments in order to provide better efficiency and cost-savings. In 2007, Cheektowaga residents honored me with their vote and elected me Cheektowaga Highway Superintendent. I am determined to provide a high level of quality service in this position to honor that trust.
