Info | Adams County Deputy Sheriff, K9 Unit
The citizens of Adams County deserve a united partnership with law enforcement that is grounded in transparency and trust. With over a decade of experience in law enforcement paired with my role as a successful local business owner, I understand that law enforcement should be based on the needs of the entire community. It should not be about politics or tied to a particular party.
If you’re like me, you’re concerned about the struggles of dealing with the criminal element in our community. You’ve likely wondered if it’s possible to find a solution to the challenges of law enforcement practices today. Like you, I value the importance of transparency and its importance in building and maintaining trust. The role of the Sheriff’s Office should be to protect ALL people.
I get it. And I am proud to represent you as your Independent candidate for Adams County Sheriff.
As a lifelong resident of Adams County, my career in law enforcement began in 2006 after the untimely death of my mother in my early 20’s. I wanted to be the best possible role model for my younger siblings, so I decided to pursue a career as a Deputy with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. I was initially assigned to the Jail Division and successfully tested into the Patrol Division in 2008. In 2011, I was promoted to Senior Deputy and subsequently worked as a Handler in the K9 Unit until my retirement in 2016.
In 2014, in what I then believed would be a part-time business alongside my service as an Adams County Deputy, my family and I created Anchor Roofing. By 2016, the success of our business required more of my time and attention. I made the difficult choice to leave law enforcement as a profession, but I never lost my passion. Through great service, teamwork, and determination, I helped build Anchor Roofing into the successful business it is today.
The blend of my life experience—a former Sheriff’s Deputy, an Adams County business owner, and a longtime resident—brings a unique perspective about the needs within our community. No matter my role, I’ve never forgot that I am also a concerned citizen of our great county.
I understand the significance of creating a partnership between law enforcement and the community. While the profession has and will continue to change, my unwavering passion for public safety and the community has remained constant.
