InfoAfter his previous run for office, Greg Moulthrop realized politicians must rise above party to represent their community, that’s why he launched a bipartisan outreach committee. While Greg is conservative, he’s referred to as a “Libertarian with Solutions” with a track record of uniting both parties by focusing on similarities instead of differences.

Raised in the blue state of Connecticut, Greg’s parents struggled financially. His father was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and his mother worked as a janitor and then as a hair stylist. Growing up he learned blue-collar skills and the value of the dollar. Through hard work and financial discipline, his family climbed out of poverty and achieved the American Dream. Available for anyone willing to work hard.

Greg knows the hard work many Americans endure to earn their living. As a Virginia Senate candidate, Greg believes in letting workers keep more of their money with lower taxes and providing programs to give people a hand-up, not a hand-out.

A Virginian for over 20 years, Greg first moved to the Commonwealth to attend Longwood University where he received a B.S. in Economics and Public Administration. He later received a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MS-SCM). While working at a large consulting company, Greg applied his expertise in the pharmaceutical and medical device supply chain to protect public health. Working across private and public companies, and all levels of government and foreign nations, Greg observed the economic machine - what works and what doesn’t - and its impact on each community.

He experienced that community wealth, and the bulk of the U.S. economy, is supported by small businesses. As a candidate, Greg’s working on protecting small businesses and incentivizing entrepreneurship. He has an economic plan to bring jobs to Loudoun County that leverages the area’s unique advantages.

After more than a decade working at a top tier consulting firm, Greg realized an area of the Pharma industry underserving the most vulnerable Americans: patients relying on life-saving prescriptions. With most of Greg’s family dying from bad drugs and addictions, protecting patient safety was more than a business idea, it was a personal drive. At 30 years old, Greg was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and directly experienced what’s at stake when pharmaceuticals are compromised. So, he left his secure, high-paying job to launch a Virginia-based startup to protect patient safety through securing the drug supply chain. Several years later, Greg continues the fight until every patient is safe from bad drugs and gets the care they need.

As your State Senator, Greg will take an entrepreneurial-based approach to solving complex problems. Utilizing his supply chain expertise, he has a plan to combat the opioid and fentanyl overdose crisis that’s destroying our communities.

Greg met his beautiful wife, Wendy in college. Today, they raise two school-aged children that attend public education in Loudoun County. His first child, Logan, also inherited Type 1 Diabetes, a terrible disease that has transformed their household forever. Outside the household, Greg recognized the dangers of adults fighting about social policies and not finding solutions we can all agree on, that are good for our youth. That’s why Greg is focused on emphasizing teaching more civics and building a stronger community, while leading our youth by example rather than fighting over the partisan talking points that continue to divide the public.

As a grandchild of a two-time Olympic Gold Medal winning athlete, sports played an important role in Greg’s upbringing and understood the work ethic it provides. His daughter shows the same competitive drive he once had as a child and fears that she’ll have to compete against biological males for scholarships, undoing decades of progress towards women’s equality.

As a candidate, Greg believes that schools should stick with STEM and core subjects to truly foster teamwork and competitiveness. The only role of Loudoun’s education system should be to prepare our youngest generations for the rapidly changing economy.

Both parties have become out of touch. Let’s table the divisive rhetoric and bring back the focus to the people. Greg won’t allow politicians to prioritize big businesses and progressive agendas over our community. Greg’s not asking you to vote Republican, or to change your party as a Democrat. His team has staff from both parties and debate at work, then go to dinner to have fun afterwards. He believes to truly rebuild our community it starts from the inside.

If you want the opportunity to live the American Dream, a better life for you and your family with better jobs, better healthcare, a safer community… then there is only one candidate for you: Greg Moulthrop.

Together, we WILL be the change we want to see and deliver results for our families and community here in our district!
