Former intern for John Salazar
I was born in Germany, the daughter of a U.S Air Force Sergent and a German immigrant. As a result of my father's military service, I had the opportunity to experience various cultures throughout the world and appreciate getting to know people.
I worked many years as a crane operator in industrial construction, crisscrossing the country to follow the work. That travel led me to find my true home in Colorado and put down roots. Our children attended school in Ignacio and Bayfield, Colorado. I owned and operated a concrete business that serviced a large part of the Colorado 3rd District. Also Mom to the world famous "BIZKIT THE SLEEPWALKING DOG (youtube MarinaHD2001.) In my spare time, I enjoy riding my Harley, hunting, diving, and traveling.
I'm known for being a little unconventional, but also for getting things done and being as tough as nails to defend what's right. I earned an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies and a B.S. in Political Science and Pre-Law as a nontraditional student. I served on the Student Senate and sat on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Students Association while studying at Fort Lewis College in Durango. Later I obtained a P.B.C. in Construction Management. While pursuing a Masters of Business Administration, I realized the people of Colorado needed a hard-working, get-it-done Conservative to serve them in the U.S. House of Representatives.
