Henry served on active duty in many stateside emergencies in floods, winter storms, and other national emergencies.

Henry served honorably and with distinction during two active-duty deployments to Afghanistan 2009-2010 and Kuwait 2012-2013.

Henry earned the Bronze Star Medal for his meritorious service for his overall journalism work during combat operations in Afghanistan in 2010.

Henry served stateside and overseas in Indiana Army National Guard units with the 38th Infantry Division Headquarters and the 38th Sustainment Brigade as a photojournalist.

His photos, videos, writings, layout and graphic design work can be seen in numerous global military and civilian publications and published online materials.

After returning from his second deployment, he began to work as communications director for The American Legion, Department of Indiana.

Henry restructured the Indiana Legion Department Headquarters' communication program as communications director. He updated and reorganized communications for the 75,000 member organization within a year. He went on to advance into the administration further, eventually earning his position as the state’s lead administrator as Department Adjutant in 2017.

During his time with The American Legion, Henry organized and led the reformation of the Big Four service organizations.

The Big Four at that time included the Indiana Departments of The American Legion, VFW, AMVETS and DAV. The organizations formed an alliance to establish legislative priorities and push for legislative initiatives collectively. Henry advocated for change, and had great success in the Indiana General Assembly.

The collective alliance is a broad network, and directly addresses and advocates state-level veteran issues and works with the state agencies, administrators, and legislators. The group collectively represents a vast veteran network.

During those years, he took part in the legislative process alongside other advocates and legislators for many successful state-level veterans bills.

He worked directly with the Indiana Governor’s Office, legislators, and state administrative staff to craft and influence legislation for military veterans and their families. Henry has been on record and testified many times on many issues at the state level, and has advocated on national issues on Capitol Hill to U.S. senators, representatives, and their staff from Indiana.

Henry is no stranger to calling out the government. In 2018 He helped expose fraud, waste, and abuse within the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs after he was provided evidence of wrongdoing as Indiana Department adjutant.

He was forced out of his position at the Indiana Legion for going after the wrongdoing with the Inspector General's Office. Soon after, informants provided him with hundreds of other internal documents.

Those documents led to the exposure of federal, state, local, and moral and ethical violations by the administration. He helped investigative reporters’ layout and identify the wrongdoing and violations of law to the public.

He believes participating in healthy and positive community service and volunteer activities are important to bettering our society without government interference.

He has helped organize countless efforts and rallies to assist the public in local to national-level events. He has helped organize events to protect religious rights, support veterans, collect community donations, fighting for public assembly, and demanding government work better for our citizens.

Henry has worked with many state and federal legislators and staff and has testified to advocate and educate regarding cannabis reform.

Henry entered into politics in 2020 when he earned the Indiana Libertarian nomination for candidacy as the lieutenant governor candidate at the 2020 Indiana Libertarian Convention and joined Donald Rainwater on the gubernatorial ticket. The campaign was the most successful campaign in state Libertarian history and earned the pair 11.4-percent of the overall votes, according to the Indiana Secretary of State’s Election Division results.
Henry successfully debated the other two candidates and brought great Libertarian perspective to that front. He was big part of the success of that statewide campaign.

After the election, Henry began work as a contracted employee for a major central laboratory in Indiana receiving and routing human biological specimen for the emergency vaccine trials and ongoing major drug trials. Most of the world’s pharmaceutical vaccine and drug trials come through this central lab for analyzation and compiling data for submittal to the FDA.

He worked logistically and helped process millions of coronavirus swabs and vaccine trial biological samples to ensure they remained preserved and were routed to the proper department for specimen testing. Henry eventually began intake processing of these kits himself, working with trial investigators, and learning about the emergency and ongoing drug trial processes.

Through his work, Henry participated and gained practical and personal knowledge of FDA drug approval processes. He personally handled and cared for specimen samples while observing operations, and had access to company servers and databases. He helped do his part, while researching and monitoring FDA procedures and analytics. He has the skills and knowledge of the process to positively affect changes at the federal level to protect Americans from infringements in the event of any future federal emergency health actions.
