| Info | Politics is second nature for Anna Girouard. Born in Pictou, Nova-Scotia, she is used to discussing education and politics at dinner table. A student at the Rogersville and Rivière-du-Loup Juvenats, the community life interested her. President of the student council in the Saint-Mary's School, she organized and encouraged the construction of the arena, hot dinners and a student paper: la Rive. Work for the betterment of her community is her objective and a priority is that of the Beausejour riding. A Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University de Moncton helped her join the CRI, Club des Relations Internationales, where she met Pierre Eliot Trudeau in 1968. As a filmmaker, she directed a 16 mm film with the National Film Board. Editor and author, she published "The Acadian Mother, methods of Education in the Family" and founded an educational kindergarten integrating the Maria Montessori Method. Her interest for the evolution of society brings her to become a journalist and a photographer for Le P'tit Moniteur, Dimension, Pro-Kent, Le Matin and advertising for the Global Village weekly where she developed a passion for writing. Editor and author, she published : Friends of Wisdom, The Herculean Force of the Singing Master, The Sales of Honor. She has become active in environmental movements and hopes for peace on a healthy earth with the Green Party.
