InfoMike is the son of Madeline and the late Ed Allen. The family has deep roots in the St. John River Valley where members of the family have been in engaged in farming, railroad operations, education, and politics. Mike has several years experience with NB Power and in private consulting. Mike’s strong personal beliefs in leadership, empowerment and excellence have stood him in good stead in all of the various challenges he has undertaken.

Mike has a Bachelor of Business Administration from UNB and an MBA with Honours from the University of Pittsburgh. He has consulted to major energy and retail companies, in Canada and the United States, on business strategy and information systems.

Mike is a member of the Certified General Accountant’s Association of New Brunswick. He is a past President of the Fredericton Golf and Curling Club and has also served on several organizing committees for such groups as the Canadian Nuclear Association, the World Energy Congress, and the NB Construction Symposium.

Mike has always been an active member of the community. His key interests are as both a coach and player in the areas of baseball, hockey and golf.

Mike resides in Douglas, NB with his wife, Jennifer.
