InfoSacco was elected to the Senate in 1993, and re-elected seven times. He has been a member of the North Bergen Township Commission since 1985 and has been mayor since 1991.

The senator was born in Jersey City Nov. 17, 1946. He attended public schools in Hudson County and graduated from Memorial High School in West New York. He received a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in 1968, and a master’s degree from Seton Hall University in 1973.

Senator Sacco retired from his administrative position with the North Bergen Board of Education in June 2017. He had worked in the education field for 50 years. He served the North Bergen Council of Administrators and Supervisors as vice president and president. He served on the North Bergen Housing Authority in 1979 and 1980, and from 1987 to 1991. He also served on the Hackensack Meadowlands Development Commission from 1990 to 1994.

Mr. Sacco has one son, Nicholas, and a grandson, Nathan.
