Info | Serge Rousselle, Dean of the Faculty of Law at l�Universit� de Moncton, is seeking his first term as a member of Parliament in the House of Commons.
Since 2000, he has been the Director of the International Centre for Common Law. He holds a Bachelor�s degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Ottawa, as well as a Master of Law degree from the University of Cambridge.
Mr. Rousselle has published a number of articles and two books, and has been invited to give numerous lectures and conferences on environmental and constitutional law at various foreign universities.
He is also very active in community service. He is past president of the Canadian Council of Deans of Law and of l�Association des juristes d�expression fran�aise du Nouveau-Brunswick. As a columnist for the newspaper L�Acadie Nouvelle and political and legal analyst for Radio-Canada and the CBC, he has shared his views with the public for a number of years.
He has been the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions, most notably the France-Acadie Award (2003) for his book �ducation et droits collectives.
Mr. Rousselle was born in Saint-Isidore and now lives in Tracadie-Sheila on the Acadian Peninsula. He began his academic career as a law professor at l�Universit� de Moncton in 1992.
