InfoAssemblyman Crouch was elected to the 107th Assembly District in November 2002 for his fourth full two-year term. He was first elected to the Assembly in November 1995 following the resignation of Clarence Rappleyea.
Assemblyman Crouch graduated from Unadilla High School in 1963 and Cornell University in 1965. He was owner and operator of a 350 acre, 180-head farm from 1967 to 1989. Cliff and his wife Barbara are owners of Country Settings, a retail gift store in the Town of Bainbridge.

Assemblyman Crouch was not a newcomer to public service when he won the Assembly race in 1995. He was Town Councilman for the Town of Bainbridge from 1982 to 1986, and Supervisor of the Town of Bainbridge from 1986 until his election to the Assembly in November 1995. While serving in the capacity as Supervisor, Cliff was Chairman of the Board of Supervisors in Chenango County from 1993 to November 1995.

Assemblyman Crouch has served on numerous committees throughout his career, such as the Chenango County Solid Waste Committee; Human Resources Committee; Planning & Safety Committee; and Personnel, only to name a few. He is a member of the Bainbridge Local Development Corporation; a member of the Board of Directors of the Broome Cooperative Fire Insurance Company; a member of the American Agriculturist Foundation; a member of the Bainbridge Lions Club; and a member of the Bainbridge Methodist Church.

Assemblyman Crouchs Assembly Committees include Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry and Labor, and he is the Ranking Minority Member on the Agriculture Committee. In April 1997, Cliff was appointed to the Legislative Commission on Dairy Industry Development. During his first year in office, Assemblyman Crouch sponsored several bills, one of which was An Act to Amend the Education Law in Relation to the Use of Absentee Ballots by School Districts, which was signed into law by Governor Pataki. He has also co-sponsored and multi-sponsored numerous other bills, as well as several Assembly Resolutions during his tenure.

Assemblyman Crouch stands for bringing common sense back to government and uses this approach to help those throughout his District in Chenango, Delaware, Ulster and Broome Counties, as well as those who are not in his District. Assemblyman Crouch makes every effort to hold meetings in each of the towns in his district at some point during his 2-year term. Cliff is always willing to listen, is open to any suggestions, comments, and will help his constituents to the best of his ability.

Assemblyman Crouch and his wife Barbara reside in the Town of Bainbridge and are the proud parents of three children, Traci, Sarah and Timothy, and grandparents of two.
