| Info | I am a daughter of a retired teacher. I grew up in Teaneck and am a product of Teaneck schools. I completed my undergrad from Rutgers and my Masters from Xavier University.
I am a single parent who experienced all the challenges of being a single parent and the stigma that came with it in an Indian culture. This made me a stronger person. I am blessed with a son who is now in the process of becoming a physician.
As a daughter and care taker of elderly parents, I understand some of the challenges of the senior community, limitation of resources, and the challenges of navigating through a bureaucratic process.
I am a community volunteer who has supported several organizations and co-founded a grass roots organization, Coalition To Unite Teaneck, to educate and engage voters and change voting behaviors
A THRIVING CAREER
Overall, I had a successful career in Healthcare and Financial services industries where I had the opportunity to work with government and international ambassadors. I worked with unions, grants management, contracts and various auditors. I was most recently a Global Vice President of financial services company where I developed and trained leaders, designed Solvency II financial reporting across 17 European countries, launched a captive sourcing center, significantly transformed departments such as operations, finance, procurement, and purchasing. I also led a complex region in a $16B M&A Integration, and worked with colleges to develop and recruit the best talent globally.
