InfoI first started running for office because I wanted to make a difference in my community and to do something to “give back." I am now in my third term on the Township Committee in Morris Township and just finished a year as Mayor. During this past year I was extremely successful in effecting change and implementing new initiatives – and I now want to take my skills to Trenton as the State Senator for Legislative District 25.

I am an experienced and effective leader who advances solutions to our most urgent issues by bringing all constituencies together to buy into win-win results. I have taken this approach throughout my career in both government and the private sector.

Building on the many accomplishments during my time as Mayor, I am committed to working to solve the everyday problems facing New Jersey residents such as keeping taxes stable, controlling over-development, and addressing our deteriorating environment. I will apply my engineering background to help solve problems related to traffic, recycling, and making sure government runs more efficiently for our taxpayers.

Lastly, I’m running because we need leaders who prioritize solutions over petty politics and have a singular focus on problem solving in Trenton. I look forward to working together with the residents of LD-25 to improve our community.

Experience
Jeff Grayzel had a lengthy career at Bristol-Myers Squibb with experiences in system design, marketing, and international business development. He is currently president of a private medical device development firm.

Jeff became the first-ever Democratic mayor of Morris Township in 2019 after a decisive 1,500 vote victory (16% margin) in the 2018 election. He is the only Democrat ever to win more than a single term on the Township Committee and is currently serving his third three-year term on Morris Township’s governing body. Jeff attributes his electoral success to being able to put residents of Morris Township first and communicating with them frequently through his “Morris Township News” newsletter.

Jeff is a decades-long resident of Morris Township who knows the towns in LD-25 well. He has a solid history of working across the aisle to save taxpayers money. This past year the tax rate remained flat in Morris Township while services improved, commercial occupancy rates surged, and many new initiatives were undertaken.
