Info | Gus Reddish was one of six members of the Ku Klux Klan elected to the Denver City Council in 1925. The Klan’s majority control of the Council lasted only six months due to Reverend Carl J. Wells’ removal from office because he had failed to meet the Council’s residency requirements, and another Klan supporter switching allegiance. The remainder of the Klan supported council members were swept from office in 1927. Outside of politics, Gus Reddish seemed to be something of an inventor. He filed for patents on a hitching-weight and an automatic weight-hanger.
