In my new role as First Lady, I look forward to learning more about the many initiatives which have been developed to address the challenges faced by Pennsylvania�s families and those that advance our Commonwealth�s rich historical heritage. I have a long-standing interest in Pennsylvania�s rich history and realize the importance of creating an environment that will inspire an intellectual and emotional connection to our historical past and future. On April 30, 2003, I was joined by representatives from a number of public and private organizations from across the state to unveil ExplorePAhistory.com, the Commonwealth's new "heritage hub". This groundbreaking initiative celebrates an extensive public-private partnership that provides a virtual gateway for the citizens of the Commonwealth and its visitors. Whether planning a trip, developing a lesson plan or exploring our great heritage � by logging on to ExplorePAhistory.com , you can now take an active role in developing a deeper understanding and love of Pennsylvania history.
