InfoDan Driscoll is running for Congress to fight back against the radicals in the Democrat party who want to pass their socialist agenda. After serving in Iraq, graduating from Yale Law and coming back home to North Carolina to help small businesses grow and prosper – Dan is ready to serve again.

Dan is a combat veteran who was raised on the mountain values of western North Carolina, spending much of his childhood in Banner Elk. Dan attended Appalachian Christian School and Watauga High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Cassie, who would later become his wife.

On his first day of freshman orientation at UNC, Dan looked around and realized that he wasn’t where he needed to be. That his country was at war and it needed men to serve. Dan’s father, who served in Vietnam and whose own father served in World War II, told Dan he didn’t need to serve because he and his grandfather had served so Dan did not have to. But Dan answered the call anyway.

Dan graduated from UNC in three years and joined the U.S. Army. After completing officer candidate school and graduating from Ranger School, Dan joined the 10th Mountain Light Infantry Division in Fort Drum, NY, where he served as a Cavalry Scout Platoon Leader for the next two years. Dan was deployed to Iraq in 2009.

Upon returning from Iraq, Dan enrolled at Yale Law School on the GI Bill. During his time at law school, he felt called to serve the veteran population. Dan worked for Yale’s Veterans Legal Services Clinic, providing free legal counsel to veterans of our nation’s wars. After graduating he felt the pull to go home, to return to where he was raised, and make a difference for those around him.

Since returning to North Carolina, Dan has been working for an investment firm that helps build small businesses across the state. He has been involved in the creation of new jobs across North Carolina, including his latest project opening a new home maintenance business in Hendersonville.

Dan is running for Congress because the stakes are high for our country and the people of Western North Carolina. President Trump’s agenda is bringing unprecedented prosperity, but he is under attack. Dan wants to bring his conservative values to Washington to stand up against those that are tearing our country apart. Dan and Cassie have two children, Daniel Jr. and Lila.
