Senator Ochoa Bogh is the daughter of Mexican immigrants and has lived in California for over 30 years. She was raised on a few simple principles: personal responsibility, hard work, and a good education can unlock your future potential.
These principles have guided her as she works in Sacramento as the first Republican Latina to serve in the California State Senate. First elected in 2020, she has been focused on improving education, tackling the affordable housing crisis, and keeping our communities safe. She is proud to serve as the Vice Chair of the State Senate Public Safety, Education, Housing, and Human Services committees.
Throughout her career, Senator Ochoa Bogh has worked as an Inland Empire Realtor for over 20 years, helping others achieve the cornerstone of the American Dream: homeownership. Her passion for education started during her service on the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District Board, where worked to improve every child’s education. Ochoa Bogh is a graduate of San Bernardino High School and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh is now running for reelection in California’s 19th district so she can continue to preserve and protect the American Dream. She will not back down from the tough fights – she will have the hard conversations to make Sacramento work for Californians and always put people over politics.
