US House (D-TN) 1835-1837; defeated incumbent Davy Crockett in the 1835 election. After a dispute with President Jackson about who he supported in the 1836 presidential election, Huntsman chose not to run for re-election.
Died 8/23/1849. Remains were interred in the Old Salem Methodist Burial Ground.
