InfoBrian T. Fitzherbert has been a businessman, engineer, and project manager in the defense and aerospace industry for nearly a decade at two Fortune 500 companies. He’s not a politician and the ultimate outsider. Brian can provide the necessary earthquake to shake up the system in South Jersey to fight back against career politicians who have nothing to show other than broken promises and failed policies. South Jersey deserves a Congressman who can deliver, not a placeholder who fails to represent the district with positions and policies of the past. A new voice with a new vision is needed.

As a Program Manager for defense contractor L3Harris, Brian is responsible for the capture, proposal, and execution on multimillion dollar programs to integrate electronic systems on surface vehicles for the military. Previously, he was responsible for delivering drones, ground control stations, electronic warfare testers, simulators, and area attack weapons supporting the Warfighter in theater at industry rival Textron Systems.

At defense contractor Textron Systems, Brian was a Senior Project Manager responsible for budgeting, scheduling, and scope adherence to deliver products such as drones, electronic warfare testers, simulators, and area attack weapons supporting the United States Army, Navy and Air Force. In this capacity, Brian executed multimillion dollar production contracts for Universal Ground Control Stations, supporting the United States Army on the MQ-1C Gray Eagle Extended Range Multipurpose (ERMP) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Program.

Prior to shifting to Unmanned Systems, Brian served as a Project Manager for Textron Systems: Electronic Systems, based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. During this time, he managed the sparing and repair efforts for Electronic Warfare Testers and the software development of Electronic Warfare Simulators supporting the United States Air Force and Navy.

Immediately before joining Electronic Systems, Brian served as a Supplier Manager at Textron Systems: Weapon & Sensor Systems, in Wilmington, Massachusetts. In this capacity, he served the link between Engineering, Operations, & Programs, and was the Procurement Representative on Supplier visits. He managed dozens of Suppliers and millions of dollars of spend on the Sensor Fuzed Weapon (SFW) Program, supporting the United States Air Force.

Prior to working at Weapons & Sensor Systems, Brian was selected for Textron’s Leadership Development Program: Integrated Supply Chain. The program was specifically designed by executive leaders to accelerate the development of high potential college graduates into future leaders by exposing them to a diverse range of Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing disciplines. The program consisted of four rotational assignments, each at a different Textron business unit, in different functional areas of the Supply Chain, in a different geographical area of the United States.

Brian’s first rotation was at Bell Helicopter, a military and commercial helicopter manufacturer, in Fort Worth, Texas. He worked in Strategic Sourcing as Supply Management Analyst. Next, he worked at AAI Corporation, a defense contractor, in Procurement as a Supplier Development Engineer, in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Then, Brian worked at Kautex, an automotive fuel tank manufacturer, in Lavonia, Georgia, where he worked as a Supplier Quality Engineer. In his final rotation, Brian worked at Cessna Aircraft, a general aviation aircraft manufacturer, in Wichita, Kansas. He worked in Operations as a Value Stream Leader managing two departments and dozens of bargaining employees.

Brian graduated college from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he studied economics and supply chain management. In August 2016, he was nominated for Miami University’s 18 of 9 Award, which the Miami University Alumni Association aims to recognize eighteen outstanding young alumni who have graduated in the last nine years. Brian completed his graduate studies at the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, studying systems engineering and project management.

During his high school and college years, Brian worked in retail for ShopRite in Somers Point and Marmora, New Jersey when he was home in South Jersey. During the college academic months at Miami University, he worked at Kroger. At both companies, he was a member of United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) union for over seven years.

Born and raised in North Jersey, he defected and became life-long lover of South Jersey. He resides in Egg Harbor Township, the heart of Atlantic County.

Brian is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has trained for over two decades working to perfect his form and sparing style. Moreover, he has been an active member of USA Hockey, playing his favorite sport in competitive men’s leagues across the country. In addition to martial arts and hockey, Brian stays active exercising, kayaking, and hiking.
