InfoWilliam J. Mulrow, former Managing Director of Corporate Finance at Rothschild Inc., has joined the Gabelli Asset Management Company (GAMCO).

GAMCO is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Gabelli Asset Management Inc. (NYSE:GBL) responsible for managing the investments of institutional and high net-worth individual clients. At year end 1998, these investments represented a total of $8 billion.

Mr. Mulrow will work with GAMCO Chairman Joseph R. Rindler, Jr. to enhance the firm's asset-gathering efforts. "We are particularly pleased that Bill has elected to join us after his illustrious and successful career in investment banking and public service. He will represent an outstanding addition to our marketing and sales team and will further improve our already successful client servicing capabilities," Mr. Rindler said.

Mr. Mulrow has concluded a 17-year career as an investment banker specializing in both corporate and public finance. Before joining the Rothschild organization in 1995, he was Managing Director and Head of Public Finance Banking for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. Mr. Murlow began his career as Executive Assistant to the Director of the New York State Division of the Budget, a position he held in 1981 and 1982.

He is a cum-laude graduate of Yale University where he received a B.A. degree in 1978; and a 1981 graduate of John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Mr. Mulrow has been active in national, state and local government and politics. He is currently Chairman of the Westchester County Industrial Development Agency and a Director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York.

He was a former board member of the Municipal Assistance Corporation for the City of New York and the United Nations Development Corporation; a former member of the Chairman's Council of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; and a former Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Business Council.

Mr. Mulrow is also active in educational, civic and business causes. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fordham Preparatory School and sits on the advisory boards of the Taubman Center of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and the Maxwell School of Public Affairs of Syracuse University.

He is also a board member of the Securities Industry Association, New York region and was a recipient of the NAACP, New York Chapter Annual Award.

Mr. Mulrow will be based at GAMCO headquarters in Rye, N.Y. He lives in Bronxville, N.Y., with his wife and three children.
