InfoMr. Giacobbe has been engaged in the private practice of law for twenty-four years. Since 1990, he has also served as a Commissioner of the New York City Planning Commission. From 1988 until 1990, he served as Assistant Counsel to New York State Assemblyman Robert Straniere. From 1983 until 1996, he served as Community Assistant in the Office of the Staten Island Borough President. From 1978 until 1983, he served as Council Member at Large of the New York City Council. From 1969 until 1977, he served as a Richmond County Assistant District Attorney. From 1968 until 1969, he served as Law Secretary to Justice Mark A. Costantino. From 1964 until 1966, he served as a New York County Assistant District Attorney. Mr. Giacobbe served as Assistant Staff Judge Advocate in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964, and received an honorable discharge. He received his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, College of Arts and Sciences in 1958 and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1961.
