| Info | Gurmit Bhachu is a schoolteacher who has worked hard for years to ensure his students turn into caring and engaged citizens. Now, he is standing with Jagmeet Singh and the NDP Team to fight for a future built on those same principles – a future where working people and everyday families can get ahead.
Gurmit’s teaching career has taken him many places. He travelled to remote northern Saskatchewan, where he learned Woodland Cree culture and developed an understanding of the issues facing Indigenous communities. He also spent time in South Korea, where he learned that social supports like education and health care help build strong communities.
He knows it makes a difference when governments invest in the services families both need and deserve. He has seen working people and their families struggle during the housing and affordability crisis and he is determined to help Jagmeet build a future that benefits everyday Canadians – not the corporations and billionaires that have already profited too much.
