Originally from northern Illinois, Michelle Franklin made the Treasure Coast home in 2000. She began her tenure in the Property Appraiser’s Office in 2004, serving in the Public Service Department. Over the course of her employment, Michelle had an opportunity to work in or oversee most of the Property Appraiser’s six different departments.
Michelle was elected the Saint Lucie County Property Appraiser in 2016. In February 2017, Michelle became a Certified Florida Appraiser (CFA) through the Florida Department of Revenue.
She and her husband, Jason, live in Port Saint Lucie and are the proud parents of two daughters. Michelle enjoys participating in community involvement and actively supports several nonprofits. These nonprofits include PA Charities, which was formed by Property Appraiser Professionals to help neighbors in need, and United Against Poverty, whose focus is to provide a hand up to people breaking the cycle of poverty.
