That my name is Audrey Rice Oliver.
The office for which I am a candidate is Mayor.
My occupation for the past five years has been: President / CEO / Founder Integrated Business Solutions, Inc.
I have held the following public office: Appointed: California High Speed Ground Transportation Comission and U.S. Department of Transportation MagLev Commission.
Statement of general qualifications: As the President and CEO of a successful computer company, I've created high paying jobs. As chair of Girls Incorporated of Alameda, I've helped troubled young girls achieve success. As a member of Oakland's Women's Advisory Committee I've shaped police policies toward women. I am not a career politician. I'll manage our city the way I've run my business -- with a plan for long-term success. For too long, Oakland's political leaders have reached for "quick fix" answers to complicated problems. Time and again, public money gets wasted on bad decisions, such as the Raiders' deal. Had enough? It's time for more accountability and responsibility. I'll bring more common sense to city government and focus on creating new jobs in growing industries, like high technology. And I'll build stronger partnerships between schools and businesses. Oakland deserves a government as good as its people. I'd be honored to have your support.
