InfoJeb Smith is a lifelong resident and business owner in St. Johns County. A fifth generation farmer in Hastings, Jeb is engaged in the production of cattle, hay, fish, vegetables, sod, and timber.

Actively involved in the agricultural community, Jeb serves in a plethora of capacities representing the industry. His past elected service has included the Hastings Drainage District and the Farm Service Agency. He is actively serving as the President of the Putnam-St. Johns County Farm Bureau and is a State Director of the Florida Farm Bureau. Nationally, Jeb has been serving in an advisory capacity with the American Farm Bureau. Locally, he serves on the St. Johns County Agriculture Advisory Committee, 4-H Association, and the St. Johns County Commercial Agriculture Council.

After graduating from St. Augustine High School, Jeb continued his pursuit of higher education at the University of Florida with a focus on Food and Resource Economics. He then transferred to Ambassador Baptist College in Shelby, North Carolina, and pursued a degree in Pastoral Studies. He has since served in the capacity of youth pastor and as a professor of theology at the Deland School of the Bible. He now serves as the pastor of God's Way Baptist Church in Hastings.

Some of the more prominent recognitions Jeb has received would include the Outstanding Young Farmer and Rancher Achievement Award and the Discussion Meet Award winner for Florida Farm Bureau. Jeb and his wife, Wendy, have been happily married for more than twenty years. They have four children; Jared, Cady, Jeremy, and Cayla; who are home educated and involved in 4-H.
