Info | A two-time Olympic medallist in synchronized swimming in Barcelona in 1992 and Atlanta in 1996, Sylvie Fréchette has accumulated more than 65 international medals, including 25 gold medals. Internationally recognized for her determination and creative style, she is a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame, the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame and the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame.
After her Olympic career, Sylvie joined Cirque du Soleil and became an artist, choreographer and coach with the team of swimmers at the O show in Las Vegas.
In 2010, still passionate about her sport, she founded the Neptune Synchro club in Saint-Jérôme. She is a coach, working closely with the sports-study program at the Polyvalente de Saint-Jérôme and at the national level.
Sylvie Fréchette is the mother of two daughters, Emma and Maya. Together they live in Prévost. Despite her busy schedule, she continues to get involved in community organizations and inspire people as a motivational speaker, spokesperson and athlete mentor.
