| Info | Nicolas Geddert is a community organizer and avid volunteer. This includes being on the Community Roots Resource Centre board, 1justcity fundraising committee (Just a Warm Sleep program), Spence Neighbourhood Association, and Holistic Housing Committee. Nicolas is also a coach for youth basketball and a mentor to young greens.
Nicolas is committed to community development, youth empowerment, and innovative housing solutions. As a Green, he values ecologically minded policy and economic responsibility, with a focus on science and community based politics.
Nicolas recognizes he is participating in a colonial institution on stolen indigenous lands, and the sovereignty of those nations. He is committed to true reconciliation through dialogue and action, consultation, solidarity of action, and by following the roadmaps laid out by the TRC, UNDRIP, and others.
Nicolas is currently the communications chair of the Green Party of Manitoba, and the representative for the Winnipeg region on the GPM’s Executive Council.
