| Info | The People's Constitutional Party held a convention in Albuquerque on 8/3/1968 and nominated Chavez for President. The office of the state attorney general initially removed the party from the ballot because two of the candidates for Presidential Elector did not meet the qualifications, but the case was appealled to the state supreme court which overturned the decision and ordered the PCP national ticket to be printed on the ballot.
