InfoLawrence T. Molloy was elected a Port commissioner in 2001. In 2003 he serves as assistant secretary of the Commission.

His priorities are to meet regional freight mobility needs through increased transportation choices for commuters and visitors in King County, and to develop new clean and renewable energy companies in the Puget Sound through the economic development authority of the Port. His ethic towards governance is that of advocating and working for a sustainable and just society.

Molloy serves on the Board of Transportation Choices Coalition and the Rainier Valley Transit Advisory Committee. He is a vice president of the Mount Baker Community Club and an advisor to Angels with Attitude, a Puget Sound Angel Investment fund.

He is a technology officer with EBARA Corporation of Japan.

As a federal official with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the early 1990s, Molloy was decorated for his work on civil rights and the environment. In the late 1980s he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, where he ran a UNICEF rural water project.

Born in New York, Molloy graduated with honors from Colgate University. He received a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.

He is married to Lisa J. Olszewski, and they reside in the Rainier Valley.
