InfoAston Donald "Don" McEachin

A. Donald McEachin is a graduate of American University and the University of Virginia School of Law. After practicing with Browder, Russell, Morris and Butcher as well as Morris and Morris in Richmond, he opened a law firm with the Gee brothers, McEachin and Gee. In 2001 Donald went out on his own, founding the McEachin Law Firm on Broad Street in Richmond, before rejoining with partner Donald Gee in 2006. The McEachin Gee Law Firm has successfully helped many Virginians to get the resources they need after accidents or injury. Donald has always stood up for working Virginians, families and children in need. Donald is a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, the NAACP, the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

In 1995, Donald was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegate. He served until 2001 when he gave up his seat to run for the Democratic nomination for attorney general. In a tough field of candidates, Donald won a resounding victory. Although he was not successful in the fall election, his participation on the ticket was a contributing factor to the victory of Governor Warner. Donald is very proud to have been part of a ticket that has moved Virginia forward and recently made Virginia “the best managed state.

In 2005, Donald ran for the House of Delegates again and was gratified that people remembered his hard work and dedication of years past and voted him the Democratic nomination.

Donald and his lovely wife Colette are the parents of three wonderful daughters. Colette is also an attorney with extensive experience, presently working in the Richmond City Commonwealth’s attorney’s office.
