InfoRepresentative Bradford Hill was first elected to the House of Representatives in November of 1998. He represents the 4th Essex District, which includes the towns of Boxford, Middletons Precinct 2, Hamilton, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Wenham. In January 2003, House Minority Leader Bradley Jones appointed Brad to serve on the Committees on Ways and Means, Public Safety, Government Regulations, and Steering and Policy.

Brad is a native of Hamilton, Massachusetts and is a graduate of Hamilton-Wenham High School and the Northeast Broadcasting School. His parents Howard and Virginia Hill continue to reside in Hamilton. His father "Taffy" Hill owned and operated the landmark Hills Department Store in Ipswich for over 50 years, and Brad worked as a manager at Hills for many years. Brad married Aimee Lee in 1991, and they reside in Ipswich with their two children.

In 1997, Brad was elected to serve on the Board of Selectmen in Ipswich, and served one three-year term (until 2000). Prior to being elected to the Board of Selectmen, Brad served as a member of the Hamilton Zoning Board of Appeals.

Since being elected to the House of Representatives, Brad has fought to ensure quality care for the mentally retarded, to change the local aid formula to bring more state money to suburban communities to fund education, to improve local roads and bridges, to provide property tax relief and prescription drug coverage for local seniors and to impose fiscal discipline on Beacon Hill.
