InfoBrandon was born in Richmond Virginia in 1981 and relocated to the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach after his parents divorced. The family would eventually move to the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake where he would enjoy running track, playing football, and wrestling. Brandon graduated from Great Bridge High School on June 16, 1999 and enlisted in the United States Navy the following day.

Over the course of 11 years Brandon was stationed in Okinawa Japan, Camp Pendleton California, Dam Neck, Norfolk, and Little Creek. It wasn’t until his deployment to the Al Anbar Province in Iraq during 2007-2008 that he decided that he wanted to further his career aspirations and attend college. In March of 2010, Brandon was honorably discharged and pursued his bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration.

Brandon’s professional career began at Cardiovascular Associates Ltd. in Virginia Beach, where he worked in the research department, and Business Development. With aspirations for additional growth, he decided to take on Director-level positions with Consulate Healthcare and worked in Williamsburg, and Norfolk Virginia. With the goal of working in corporate Healthcare, Brandon accepted his first role at Anthem as Project Manager and followed up by taking a Management role in Network Development. Brandon currently works in Provider Relations and focuses on the state’s most vulnerable of populations.

Over the years, and while his children were growing up, Brandon was active with the PTA, coached little-league baseball, volunteered with the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, and helped in the community whenever needed. In recent years, Brandon has organized an annual event and partnered with BeachHouse757 to feed the homeless, and those less fortunate in Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach has always been home to Brandon and his family, and he takes pride in the fact that his children are products of the Virginia Beach Public School system. Brandon’s service and commitment to the community continued after his service to the country. The need to become more involved in the community ultimately led to his appointment by City Council to the Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation, where he was able to focus on the affordable housing needs of the city. In 2020, Brandon decided to run At-large for Virginia Beach City Council and fell short. In 2021, Brandon was selected and proudly represented Hampton Roads as a Citizen Commissioner on Virginia’s Redistricting Commission and tasked with ensuring that the district lines in Virginia were drawn fairly.

When the news of the new districts was made public it became clear that Brandon had an opportunity to make a greater difference in our community. Understanding that this is a great responsibility and knowing that we deserve representative leadership in the community Brandon announced his candidacy be become one of Virginia’s newest Delegates representing the 96th House District.
