InfoJa’Mal Green is a neighborhood advocate and 2023 candidate for Mayor of the city of Chicago.
Ja’Mal has dedicated over half of his life to creating a better future that we can all believe in. As mayor, Ja’Mal’s goal would be to create a brighter future for all Chicagoans, where every voice matters. His top priorities are public safety, modernizing city government, economic development, and climate change.

Ja’Mal Green has always been on the right side of the truth, taking action and getting results. He stood up against the most powerful politicians to help pass legislation. He stood up to the largest bank in the world (Chase Bank), forcing a billion dollar investment into underserved communities. Green has raised tens of millions for small businesses around the country, especially during the pandemic to help them stay afloat. He now spends his time assisting people to achieve the goal of homeownership through his agency My Turn To Own. MTTO has facilitated over 10 million in mortgages in just 7 short months with a current pipeline of 1800 first-time prospects.

Ja’Mal was also called by Senator Bernie Sanders to be an official surrogate for his 2016 & 2020 presidential campaigns. He traveled across the country giving commanding speeches in support of Medicare For All, The Green New Deal, a higher minimum wage, cannabis legalization, and student loan debt cancellation. Green has become one of the most popular progressives in the country who has always been consistent in his journey.

Ja’Mal continues to be a champion for the most vulnerable residents in order to create a unified Chicago. As the founder of Majostee Allstars, a nonprofit with the mission of empowering marginalized youth and encouraging self-improvement through training, mentoring, and guidance, his passion for fostering youth leadership and outreach has made him a trusted and respected figure amongst many of Chicago’s adolescents. Majostee Allstars has current plans to build an 80,000 square foot youth center in Auburn Gresham.

A social entrepreneur and real estate broker, Ja’Mal has evolved tremendously, and so has his advocacy for increasing positive outcomes within the city of Chicago. His investment portfolio includes real estate as a licensed broker, a Solar Panel installation company, and a spa among others. Since 2010 he has created hundreds of job opportunities through his investments and support. He believes that creating generational wealth is one of the keys to ending poverty, violence, and inequities within the city. Without the fancy title, Ja’Mal’s impact has been felt all over the country.
