| Info | Matt is a former naval officer and serial entrepreneur who has dedicated himself to ensuring that others have the opportunity and tools to define and create their own success.
Matt Quigley grew up in Warrenville, Illinois where he worked hard to become an Eagle Scout, and an All-American Captain of the Swim team at Wheaton Warrenville South High School. These early leadership experiences early formed the backbone of hard work, dedication and perseverance shared by so many great people in the Illinois 14th District.
After September 11th, 2001 Matthew felt the call to serve and defend his country and attended the United States Naval Academy where he graduated as a Naval Officer. Matthew was deployed around the world to South America, the Arabian Gulf, and to Haiti where he was awarded a Humanitarian Service Medal for efforts as a first responder helping the victims of the cataclysmic 2010 earthquake.
He left Naval Service after his role as an Executive Officer at Great Lakes in North Chicago, where he ensured quality training for the next generation of the United States Sailors. During his time there, he attended evening courses at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, earned his Masters in Business Administration and co-founded his own company, building it in part right here out of a garage in Warrenville, IL.
Matt dedicated himself to growing jobs and helping other entrepreneurs get their start. He and his team created a software that helps guide people through the entrepreneurship process and ultimately write a business plan. To ensure his software helped as many people as possible, and that cost was never a barrier to success, he partnered with public libraries and community colleges. The Naperville, St. Charles and Oswego Public libraries, all in the Illinois 14th district, were his first three partners in the entire United States. Since then his entrepreneurship software has helped thousands of aspiring small business owners across the United States, Canada and Australia. In addition, it is also available to every member of the US Military through the military library system to support veteran entrepreneurship.
Matthew owes his success to the community of the Illinois 14th Congressional District for giving him his start towards serving the country, the will and perseverance to succeed, and a home to grow his family.
