InfoF. Chris Gorman was born in Frankfort, Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1965 and the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1967. Throughout high school, college and law school, he had many part-time jobs to help pay for his education.

He began practicing law in Louisville, Kentucky in 1968 and was in private law practice in Louisville continuously until 1991. During this time he worked for the Jefferson County Attorney's Office from 1971-1982 as an Assistant County Attorney. His private practice encompassed a wide variety of legal experience, including litigation for plaintiffs and defendants before state and federal courts, and appellate briefing and oral arguments before state and federal appellate courts.

His career in public service began in 1985 as A District Commissioner for Jefferson County. He served in this position until 1992. He served as Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from 1992-1996.

In 1997, he returned to private law practice in Louisville and is currently with the law firm of Conliffe, Sandman & Sullivan

He married the former Vicki Lynn Beekman of Paducah in 1968. They have two grown sons, Tyson and Jay. They are also the proud grandparents of Conner and another grandchild is due in April 2003.
