| Info | David De La Hunt was born and raised in Hubbard County. He graduated from Park Rapids Area High School in 1985 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University in 1990. Since 1990, he has been employed by De La Hunt Broadcasting. David owns and operates Normin Broadcasting and is a part owner within the family business. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
In 1993 David married, Joleen, who is the Park Rapids Century School Elementary Principal. David and Joleen have two sons. Ryan is a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and Matthew is currently a junior at the University of Minnesota, Duluth, majoring in civil engineering.
David has been a volunteer in many organizations in the area including, Jaycee's, Rotary Club, the Hubbard County Fair Board, the Park Rapids and Walker Hockey Associations, and is a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. David and his family enjoy boating, snowmobiling, hockey, amateur radio and outdoor activities.
