InfoTom Parker is the Special Projects Manager for The Foundation for Moral Law, where he works with former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy S. Moore coordinating a federal legislative effort to combat judicial activism by limiting the jurisdiction of federal courts.

TOM PARKER

In January 2001, Parker was appointed by Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore to be the Deputy Administrative Director of Courts, where he served as General Counsel for the Alabama court system, advising trial court judges, and as Director of the Alabama Judicial College, providing training for new judges and continuing legal education for all the trial judges in Alabama.

Tom Parker also served as Legal Adviser to the Chief Justice and Spokesman for Chief Justice Moore. When Chief Justice Moore was removed from office, Parker was also removed from his multiple positions within the Alabama judicial branch of government because of his loyalty to the Chief Justice.

Parker served in the Alabama Attorney General’s Office under Senator Jeff Sessions, then Alabama Attorney General. As an Assistant Attorney General, Tom handled over 350 criminal appeals and 30 death penalty cases. He has extensive experience in writing appellate briefs and with oral arguments before the Supreme Court and the Court of Criminal Appeals.

Previously, he was a partner in Parker & Kotouc, P.C., the Montgomery law firm that handled the Mobile School Prayer Case (Wallace v. Jaffree) and the Humanism Textbook Case (Smith v. Board of School Commissioners of Mobile County). Tom Parker was known for his defense of churches, ministries, Christian schools, and homeschooling.

Tom was founding Executive Director of the Alabama Family Alliance and, later, the founding Executive Director for the Alabama Family Advocates, which are state organizations associated with Dr. James Dobson and Focus on the Family. He lobbied for the family and Christian values in the Alabama Legislature.

Tom Parker has appeared on Focus on the Family, with Dr. James Dobson, The 700 Club, with Dr. Pat Robertson, the McNeil-Leher News Hour, For the Record, and numerous radio programs.

Parker worked his way through Dartmouth College, in Hanover, New Hampshire, from which he graduated cum laude, and he received his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee. Tom is a Montgomery native and he and his wife, the former Dottie James of Auburn, have been married for 22 years.
