InfoNephew of Gord Brown

Colin is a proud lifelong resident of Gananoque. For the past thirteen years, he has worked for Brown Hospitality Corporation, the family business involved in the tourism sector that runs multiple successful hotels in the region. Under his management, the hotels have been able to create hundreds of local jobs. He earned a designation of Business Management Entrepreneurship from Algonquin College. Both his time working and throughout higher education has taught Colin valuable skills in both teamwork and communication.

His political ambitions were encouraged and supported by his uncle, former boss and mentor the late MP Gord Brown. “Uncle Gord has inspired me to make a difference and help people”. Working on the 2018 Provincial Campaign for the newly elected Doug Ford has given him the first-hand experience of what it takes to earn the trust of constituents.

Colin is seeking the Conservative nomination because the fiscal irresponsibility, misrepresentation, and reckless spending of the current government will have a detrimental effect on future generations of Canadians. Colin is committed to working hard to represent his constituents ensuring that a prosperous future lies ahead. It is imperative that we hold the Liberals to account and work towards a successful Conservative win across the country in the 2019 election.

When Colin announced he was seeking the nomination, MPP Steve Clark said, “Politics are part of the Brown family tradition and Colin’s intelligence, work ethic and hands-on experience in helping organize and deliver a winning campaign make him an impressive candidate." Premier Doug Ford said, "Colin has always demonstrated very strong leadership skills and an excellent work ethic".

Colin supports traditional conservative values such as lowering taxes and helping get rid of the Carbon Tax. He wants to see more government funding for important infrastructure projects throughout the riding. If elected Colin plans on being a strong, honest and vocal voice for the community in Leeds Grenville Thousand Island and Rideau Lakes.
